Image FileTransfer on PlayBook

I am trying to transfer an image file from the PlayBook to a server but so far haven't been able to find out how.

The Balckberry 10 OS has a blackberry.io.filetransfer class.  I can't seem to find anything remotely like it on the PlayBook.  Is Image file transfer possible on the playbook?
