No I am testing with a Webworks application and was assuming that it used the native browser.

I confirm I'm testing a Webworks app on a Playbook device.

The 2.0 version of the tablet SDK doesn't support blackberry.identity feature as I tested the exact same code with the 2.1 SDK and it worked

Are you trying to call "http://localhost:8472/blackberry/identity/get" to get the PIN of a device? Have you ever tried with a simple JS command like this:

blackberry.identity.PIN

I build the KitchenSink example for PlayBook in debug mode. When I debug within Web Inspector and call the above within a console.log(...); it shows me the devices PIN in the following form:

0x######## ->  # is alphanumeric letter

[ Edited ]

I tried blackberry.identity.pin first, as it didn't work I looked for another solution and tried  to call "http://localhost:8472/blackberry/identity/get" but it didn't work as well.

Now blackberry.identity.pin works as I upgraded the version of the SDK.

But  "http://localhost:8472/blackberry/identity/get" still doesn't work,

but it's ok as I prefer the simple way (blackberry.identity.pin)
