JavaScript scrolling event and position

Hello @ all,

i have to write a mobile webpage for an blacberry bold 9700 and i need to position a div container at the bottom of the screen. To do this i want to react on a scrolling event and reposition the div container. after hours of looking for a solution (also in this forum) i havent found anythink. i tried the html body param "onscroll" and some other stuff without any success. can you please help me out and show me an example on how to do this?

thank you,

michael

Re: JavaScript scrolling event and position

Hello

Is there a reason why you don't use css and a div?

div bottom demo

Cheers

Re: JavaScript scrolling event and position

Hi Andrew,

thanks for the reply.

Your suggestion is already my fallback solution. The problem is that the css style is looking realy bad when a user is scrolling the page cause the toolbar is slightly moving behind the scroll event (during scrolling the toolbar isnt at the bottom ... i think the browser renderer isnt fast enough to handle this ...). i hope that you understand what i mean... its a little difficult to describe ...

So i want to disable (display: none) the toolbar when the user begins to scroll down or up and when the scrolling is finished i want to show the toolbar again.

thanks again,

michael
