It installs new drivers - I assume for the new features

Yep - phone is present but I ain't got a SIM in mine

Text and Maps also added

Best bit is it finally does peek etc (not sure how full this version is)

Have you tried launching Maps yet?  I'm getting the error message, "My places data is currently unavailable".  Click OK a bunch of times and then it crashes back to the home screen.  Can't get Maps to launch at all and I have Location Services enabled and everything.

Same for me.

Facebook also will only let me add an account but can't actually use the app.

I wish I had a SIM card though to use the phone part.

I'm annoyed that not a single review site or BB themselves has shown what answering a call looks like or what it looks like while you're in a call.  I'm not sure why they are all hiding this. My hope is that it works just like that fancy presentation video that they showed a year back.

Updating with the Autoloader for Windows fixed my Maps issue. Be warned though, it wipes all your dev apps and downloaded apps off the device, so you'll need to put them back on.  The phone feels a little more functional now.  I had your Facebook issue with Twitter.  I'd test it out, but now I can't find Twitter or Facebook in BlackBerry World.  Sigh... 1.0 issues I guess.

Tried Maps this morning from a on-device update

Worked fine

Didn't loose any apps in my case - just got a few more
