Not Able to Receive mail in to Black Berry device simulator.

Hi,

I am new to blackberry development. I have installed MDS and ESS version 4.1.4. I am using device simulator 4.1.0 8703e model. I am not able to receive any mail into my device simulator.

I am using the ESS in Connected mode. Output on the console is following:

<Tue Jun 23 14:46:54 IST 2009>: [19] :<DEBUG>:<LAYER = ESS, Checking for new mes
sages...>
<Tue Jun 23 14:46:54 IST 2009>: [20] :<DEBUG>:<LAYER = ESS, Count[2] LastIndex[2
]>
<Tue Jun 23 14:47:17 IST 2009>: [21] :<DEBUG>:<LAYER = UDP, EVENT = Receiving, S
IZE = 11, SOURCE = localhost:19780, DESTINATION = localhost>
<Tue Jun 23 14:47:24 IST 2009>: [22] :<DEBUG>:<LAYER = ESS, Checking for new mes
sages...>
<Tue Jun 23 14:47:24 IST 2009>: [23] :<DEBUG>:<LAYER = ESS, Count[2] LastIndex[2
]>
<Tue Jun 23 14:47:54 IST 2009>: [24] :<DEBUG>:<LAYER = ESS, Checking for new mes
sages...>
<Tue Jun 23 14:47:54 IST 2009>: [25] :<DEBUG>:<LAYER = ESS, Count[2] LastIndex[2
]>

I had also tried to have my e-mail service on MDS also. but even then I am getting the same message on the MDS console. I have used the both MDS and ESS way but only one at one time. But could not able to receive any emailon my device simulator.

Any help would be highly appreciable.

Thanks ,

Manish K.

Re: Not Able to Receive mail in to Black Berry device simulator.

Do you see any other messages or exceptions in the ESS window?  I recommend trying the ESS that comes with the version 4.1 BlackBerry JDE.  It aligns with the version 4.1 BlackBerry smartphone simulator.  You can download it from here:  http://na.blackberry.com/eng/developers/javaappdev/javadevenv.jsp
