Package - "Build succeeded!", but no bar-file...

[ Edited ]

I installed webworks and all sdk's, registered my developer key and tryed to "Package & Launch" from ripple. I can press whatever i want: "Package", "Package & sign" or "Package & Launch", i always get the message "Build succeeded!", but there is no bar and it wont launch (not on the simulator and not on the physical device)

Both devices are in dev mode and im able to deploy my "old" air apps...

Re: Package - "Build succeeded!", but no bar-file...

I just loked into the ripple-services commandline output:

2012-05-15 09:35:07 GET /ripple/build_status/4362 200
2012-05-15 09:35:08 GET /ripple/build_status/4362 200
out: [INFO]                     Parsing command line options

out: [INFO]                     Parsing bbwp.properties

out: [INFO]                     Validating WebWorks archive

out: [INFO]                     Parsing config.xml

out: com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.impl.io.MalformedByteSequenceException:
Invalid byte 1 of 1-byte UTF-8 sequence.

Done build
Build complete, now deploying...
>>> EXEC "C:/Program Files/Research In Motion/BlackBerry WebWorks SDK for Tablet
OS 2.2.0.5/bbwp/blackberry-tablet-sdk/bin/blackberry-deploy.bat" -installApp -la
unchApp -device 10.0.0.59 -password domino "[mypath]/[myfile].bar"
2012-05-15 09:35:08 GET /ripple/build_status/4362 200

It looks like there is something wrong with the config.xml, but i dont understand why, because i used an example from rim.

Probably you've got a BOM in the config.xml, put there by your editor which thinks it's a UTF-16 text file.

Read this topic for exampe...

Yes, it was the xml, butnot the encoding itself... somehow there where some wrong quotation marks in the code (i copied and pasted it from a rim site).

I checked the xml with: http://coderstoolbox.net/string/ and saw immediately what caused the error. But its not cathced by ripple... ripple says "build succeeded"
