I tried to test a new web site which is located on a demo server. To reach this server I need to use an IP Address like http://111.222.333.444:81/... and I get and error 403 = "ERR_ACCESS_DENIED".

Of course it's not a problem of my server, I can reach it with all the other browsers and other phones.

Any help?

You'll have to add the access tag into the config.xml if i'm not mistaken.

I believe it's:

<access uri="blah" />

Thank you for your reply, but I don't think that the problem comes from my server because i don't have any error logged on.

I think it's probably more from my BB, I'm a new user and I can't find if there is a browser of proxy configuration somewhere.

If you want you can try this address http://213.56.95.68:81 to see if you can reach our server.

I tested it on a simulator - 9000 v 4.6.185

It displays - "It Works!"

Are you testing on a real BB? What model and version.

Real BB model 9700

tested it on a 9700 v5.0.0.400

it works fine on the simulator

All I can think is that it has something to do with the BES? I'm no expert on the BES so maybe contact the BES admin.

I don't have any BES. It's a "stand alone" BB.

Do you have a special configuration on your 9700?

Which one?

No special configuration on the 9700 - left as default.

You need to speak to your provider, I think the problem lies there.

Can you access any other servers using IP address?

It works on my 9530 using the Opera Mini 5 beta 2 browser aswell.
