Problem signing key

Im very new to this so today tried to package and sign my app using "graphical aid". I'm I keep getting a java error code when I try to register my keys.

Error:

'java' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

Now I tried to do the same thing using "ripple" and I get this code

error:

Oh Snap! Build request failed with message: error

Some people have told me that my "java" path isn't set right(which  I have no idea how to set)so I don't know I'm lost haha

Can some one help me?

Thanks in advance

Re: Problem signing key

PATH is the location of the JDK installation on your computer, so it really depends where you installed it and what OS you are using.

Have a look at this for some ways to find out where yours is installed: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/4681090/how-to-find-where-is-jdk-installed-on-my-windows-machine

Re: Problem signing key

You should be pointing to to your JDK 1.6 and the whole address including the \bin . Something like c:\program files\java\jdk1.6_25\bin (can't remember where exactly it sits as I use a Mac these days)

Re: Problem signing key

Step in the right direction then.

To get your signing keys go here: https://bdsc.webapps.blackberry.com/html5/documentation/signing_landing_page.html

If you are just testing your app on the simulator you can use ripple to 'package and launch' without signing keys instructions on using the simulator can be found here https://bdsc.webapps.blackberry.com/html5/documentation/ww_testing/using_the_tablet_simulator_186698...

If you are testing on a device and don't want to sign go here https://bdsc.webapps.blackberry.com/html5/documentation/ww_testing/runnning_unsigned_apps_using_a_de... to read about using debug keys
