I'm doing layout tests in Ripple
Part of the app talks over WiFi to a Remote WiFi device
Rather annoyingly Ripple proxies ALL XHR requests ignoring the possibility of wanting to connect to a private network
So - I get this...
Its obvious from the IP I'm talking to a Class C network segment but Ripple decides to ignore this fact and "helps" me our with the XHR it thinks I'm trying to do .
It actually works (raises an exception but functions fine) in Chrome without Ripple but then I can't have BBui
Hack Ripple time methinks!

I generally just disable all web-security while testing in Chrome and Ripple.
Have you tried to change the proxy settings in Ripple? If you click the Settings tab, then select Proxy you can choose from "Local" or "Remote".

Also not perfect
herokuapp server is very spotty and Ripple insitst on using it (security or not)
This leads to extended blocked non-starting of Ripple
I had to take the afternoon off simple cos Ripple wouldn't start - my artist needs something he can quickly see the changes in
