Phonegap.

EDIT: I use it because i have option to consume all functionalities of BB as synchronous and it's crucial for our company.

I'm using JQuery / JQuery mobile though there can be initial loading issues for the previous (JQuery).

Re: SURVEY : What Javascript frameworks are you using?

I had a project that used JQuery Mobile. It sucked, I hated it and the project failed because of it. After a month or more working on it, I threw it all away and did it in Java in one weekend. The whole experience soured me on webworks in general as well. Ripple worked well, but I found inconsistancies between it and the device browser and the whole thing completely fell apart when trying to use custom javascript extensions.

I might give it a try again if targeting only 6.0+ devices, but I still wouldn't use jQueryMobile.

Re: SURVEY : What Javascript frameworks are you using?

I used JQuery, and JQuery UI to make a Playbook Webworks app.

Let me make an app, with great looking transitions, and animations.

Re: SURVEY : What Javascript frameworks are you using?

Can't use JQuery because I'm supporting OS 5 (which still has ~50% of the BB market). That said, I'm not using any JS frameworks.

Re: SURVEY : What Javascript frameworks are you using?

I stay away from frameworks. They all add functions i dont need. I just try to work with what is available from pure javascript.

Re: SURVEY : What Javascript frameworks are you using?

GWT - which didn't work as well as excepted. We had to build a lot of bespoke components to reach our level of expectations. The phones are sluggish compared to the competition and you'd better have a very very simple html structure if you want your app to be snappy and appealing. Don't give that to the juniors of your team!!

We're developing applications for iphone/android/nokia and blackberry and blackberry has been by far the most painful. With hindsight, we should have developed a much simpler UI for blackberry.

On top of that OS7 doesn't play well with GWT: integer.parseInt crashes because the browser doesn't handle integer properly (see my thread about GWT and OS7).

So, bugs + slugginess ... booo...
