I am looking to create an application full of wallpapers. However, is there a way to create a link that will read into the PlayBooks API that I can do 'Set as Wallpaper' and when the user clicks it, the wallpaper is set?
No, such a developer API does not currently exist in the Tablet OS. Its a neat idea though, but I'm not aware of it being on the roadmap.
I expect if something like this was ever was added, there would need to be a permission enabled to allow this (otherwise an app could change your homescreen to whatever it wanted whenever it wanted).
