Saving a file (simulator)

Hello

 

How to save the file to the device using html5 (bb10 sdk)? I have tried 

https://github.com/blackberry/Ripple-UI/issues/374 but it does not work for me. I do not have DevAlpha and I test it on the latest simulator (gold). How to verify if the file was saved - may I browse files on the simulator?
