Re: Signing app on Mac with SDK 1.0.1.8 ends with: execvp(): No such file or directory

If rorybarnes or rrenna can try this it would be great.
We can only fix it properly for the next version if we know the exact problem you guys are having.

Re: Signing app on Mac with SDK 1.0.1.8 ends with: execvp(): No such file or directory

Thanks for clarifying Nukul - Now that i understand the fix I can see what is still going wrong. I won't have time to look at it until tonight, but I will report back then.

I attempted to add that directory to my PATH yesterday before I implemented the work around, didn't seem to resolve it but I'll double check sometime today.

Re: Signing app on Mac with SDK 1.0.1.8 ends with: execvp(): No such file or directory

When you guys get a chance add it to the path and then try

which blackberry-signer

that should give us a clue.

We have fix for this assuming our understanding of the issue is correct

After you add the directory to your path can you simply type blackberry-signer on the shell and see if it runs the tool?

Re: Signing app on Mac with SDK 1.0.1.8 ends with: execvp(): No such file or directory

So I attempted to add the directory to my PATH variable, when performing :

echo $PATH

 I see the following:

/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/Applications/Server.app/Contents/ServerRoot/usr/bin:/Applications/Server.app/Contents/ServerRoot/usr/sbin:/Developer/SDKs/Research In Motion/BlackBerry 10 WebWorks SDK 1.0.1.8/dependences/tools/bin:/Developer/SDKs/Research:/Developer/SDKs/Research In Motion/BlackBerry 10 WebWorks SDK 1.0.1.8/dependences/tools/bin

When I attempt to run :

ryans-macbook-pro:~ rrenna$ blackberry-signer

 I see the following:

-bash: blackberry-signer: command not found

Hopefully someone can let me know if there's an issue with my PATH. Cheers

Re: Signing app on Mac with SDK 1.0.1.8 ends with: execvp(): No such file or directory

I think you have a spelling mistake in your path(s). It should be "dependencies"

Re: Signing app on Mac with SDK 1.0.1.8 ends with: execvp(): No such file or directory

Thanks for that. I fixed the path, it now prints out :

ryans-macbook-pro:~ rrenna$ echo $PATH

/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/Applications/Server.app/Contents/ServerRoot/usr/bin:/Applications/Server.app/Contents/ServerRoot/usr/sbin:/Developer/SDKs/Research In Motion/BlackBerry 10 WebWorks SDK 1.0.1.8/dependencies/tools/bin
ryans-macbook-pro:~ rrenna$

and I can successfully call blackberry-signer from any location.

However, bbwp still returns the following error during packaging:

[INFO] execvp(): No such file or directory

[ Edited ]

Can you try signing with the packager now with that path in your environment?

Re: Signing app on Mac with SDK 1.0.1.8 ends with: execvp(): No such file or directory

When using the Packager (I'm assuming bbwp is the packager) with the following command:

./bbwp <path to my zip>.zip -d -g "<password>" -b <build number>

I recieve the following status updates :

[INFO] Populating application source
[INFO] Parsing config.xml
...
[INFO] Generating output files
[INFO] Info: Package created: <PATH TO OUTPUT FOLDER>/simulator/output.bar
[INFO] Info: Package created: <PATH TO OUTPUT FOLDER>/device/output.bar
[INFO] execvp(): No such file or directory

If I don't explicitly try to sign the .bar files with blackberry-signer, then when I run blackberry-deply like so:

./blackberry-deploy -installApp -password "<password>" -device "169.254.0.1" -package <path to output>/device/output.bar

 I recieve this error:

result::failure 881 required signatures missing (RDK, AUTHOR)

Note: I've replaced some text snippets, ie. "<password>" is not a literal.

Hope that helps.
