That's definitely not the expected behavior.  Your app should run as expected & look similar (no promise it will ever be identical - but definitely similar) in Ripple and a BlackBerry 7 sim.

 

One thing you can try doing is enabling Web inspector in your app, and then debugging it from a desktop browser?  You may be able to find something problematic with your runtime app (maybe a *.js resource got missed during packaging?).
