Hi, Since we all know AJAX is not supported since 5.0. So please let me know is their any subsitute for AJAX. So instead of using xmlHttp() is their any other methodology which is able to do asynchronous call. Or is their any way where we will able to develop custom AJAX.

Re: Substitue for AJAX

AJAX is supported in 4.6 device's browser but not via custom browser (Browser field),

http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Java-Development/AJAX-support-in-embedded-browser-application...

so i am looking for any substitute for it.

Ah... you were referring to BrowserField.  From your post I thought you were talking about the Browser in General.

Correct, in 5.0 BrowserField started using the same rendering engine as the Browser itself.

5.0 is already released on the following devices:

- Storm 2

- Storm 1

- Bold 9700

- Curve 8530

RIM has not yet released details on which existing smartphones will receive the 5.0 upgrade.  However you can always check around on other blogs hear the rumors :smileyhappy:
