How do you open a link in the browser and target the same window?

All of my links are opening in a new window??

I tried target=_self but it didn't make a difference.

The BlackBerry Browser only supports 1 window, so all links should open in the same browser window.

So the escape key is actually a back button which loads pages from the cache?

I thought escape == close in the BlackBerry world.

Clicking the escape key works like a back button in the BlackBerry Browser.  Holding it down closes the browser.

In the blackberry World, Esc = close the page and go to previous page.

for example in the Media application, if you are listening to a song :
hit Esc => go to song list
hit est => go to album list
hit esc => go to artists list
hit esc => go to filter list
hit esc => go to media type chooser
hit estc => closes media app.
