As others have said, Twitter decided to send that to you, not RIM.

scrid, actually after reading some of this user's other posts, I suspect it was a RIM developer group email. I noticed earlier he had registered for a one of the BBJAM events (at least an post he said he did) which I am guessing pretty much identifies the registrant as a developer and registers that developer in the email announcements.

 

Makes sense to me.

Nah, based on the image posted by the OP, it's a twitter email, I get them too from time to time.

I'm on Twitter, I'm a follower of RIM and, yes, I get such emails also from time to time but they don't contain the latest news from RIM only, it seems they provide content I might be interested in.

 

And such emails don't disturb me very much, almost every time they are forwarded to the spam folder automaticaly. IMHO, that just happens when you use free services today, isn't it? :smileysad:
