Uninstalling Signing Keys (Windows)

I've been having trouble signing my BB10 app.

The app is a webworks app. I'm currently using BB10 WebWorks SDK 1.0.2.9.

I had some signing keys installed on this computer before as well as some other SDKs.

Since I have uninstalled all of the older SDKs through the Windows Remove Programs window.

Afterward I have installed new keys with a new Store Password.

It seems that some of the older SDKs left over the old signing keys.

What is the procedure for completely wiping all old signing keys from a Windows 7 computer?

Re: Uninstalling Signing Keys (Windows)

hello bzm,

FYI - the SDK's come with their own uninstaller.

where are these old signing keys now? and where are the new signing keys?

and i take it you mean earlier versions of BB10 SDK's  when you say 'older SDKs?

read this for starters:

->own uninstaller
I uninstalled through Windows (which I'm pretty sure links to the uninstaller that comes with the SDK)

->Where are the keys
I only have the new RDK and PBDT files, as for the author.p12 there is one in AppData but I think it's old.

->Older signing keys
I had (now uninstalled) the legacy WebWorks SDK for Phone and Tablet installed, as well as the Java JDE installed.

I'm pretty much looking for a way to wipe my computer of all previous signing keys so that I may start from scratch.

Re: Uninstalling Signing Keys (Windows)

a suggestion:

 you could put your existing 'old key files'  -  the associated author.p12 , csk  and database files in a folder or simply just delete the whole shootin' match and be done with it.

Deploy your new key files to the current BB10 1.0.2.9 SDK.

 back up to ':\Users\your name\AppData\Local\Research In Motion'

I take it you are setting up webworks development.

Re: Uninstalling Signing Keys (Windows)

Got it working!

What I did.

1. Search my C drive for *.p12 and deleted the p12, csk, and db files from C:\Users\***\AppData\Local\Research In Motion\

2. Did a search on my C drive for any more p12 files that may have been misplaced by old SDKs or JDEs

3. Did a search on my C drive for any csk or csj files that may have been left behind by old SDKs or JDEs

4. Requested new keys from RIM

5. Installed new keys.

I've been developing with WebWorks for awhile. I just somehow managed to screw up my signing keys.
