I'm using the 4.7.0 simulator.  The browser in this simulator DOES NOT work like the browser in the current official build (4.7.075).  Apparently the simulator browser code is the same as the 4.7.041 build.  Anyway (or time frame) to get the simulator browser working like the current official build?

Try to do the following:

1. Disconnect your blackberry device from your desktop computer

2. Download device software from here: http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/devices/

3. Install it on your desktop computer.

4. Delete Vendor.xml located in folder where Blackberry OS has been installed.

5. Launch device simulator

6. Select from menu: Simulate-USB Connection

7. Start Blackberry Desktop Manager, it will recognize the simulator as a connecteed real device

8. Update device OS on the simulator.

Well, I've tried this many times and many ways.  And the OS version in the simulator still shows .41 version.

Just noticed that it is not possible to upgrade simulator os in that way.

Instead, a BlackBerry Simulator with a newer version of handheld software can be downloaded from here:

Yes, but the problem is:  this simulator uses OS version .41.  Current official version is .75.  And there's big differences in browser behavior between these two versions.  We are trying to find a work around for a browser error.  This is for a specific subscription-based mobile application...which works great on the iPhone (and any PC browser) but crashes on the Storm.  We have to use the phone to duplicate the error because the simulator is using old code.  As you probably know, this type of work around requires a lot of trial and error.  If we could get a simulator that works, then we can put more people on it.  Any ideas on how to get a simulator with version .75 OS browser code?  You can email me at "tmarr8 at gmail dot com" if more convenient.

I clicked your link, clicked to download BB JDE 4.7, entered username and pw on next screen and was taken to a blank white screen.  Tried it on IE 7, FF and Chrome.

I use Firefox 3.0.5 (WinXP SP3 Eng) and there is no problems with downloading.

Are you using the same Firefox version ?

Yes...3.0.5.  I also just tried Safari (for Vista)...same problem.  I googled it and found another user with the problem.  Scroll down to the bottom and read the second comment.
