I am using windows vista 64-bit with VS2008.
any idea?
thanks
Yes, the issue is that you are using 64-bit vista. Our system requirements are for a 32bit version of XP or Vista.

Is there any timeframe for when Windows 7 and/or 64-bit OS will be supported? Are there any workarounds to get those to work now? I've gotten the browser to launch by pointing to the (x86) Program Files folder, but like other users on this thread, it doesn't seem to fully open or close gracefully.

We are working on addressing the Win7 64 bit compatibility as soon as we can in the new year. I don't have an exact date but hopefully we will have something in the first quarter.

I'm having the exact same problem as the original poster. My system is running XP SP3 32bit, VS2008 SP1, 3GB of memory and the latest beta pluging from RIM.
When try to view my web page in the BB browser the whole process hangs for a long time. Eventually I get a message on the BB emulator saying "Unable to connect to the selected Mobile Data Service, please try again later"

I was having the same issue and found that I actually had some bugs in my web page (duh). It seems a good idea to test the page using a traditional web browser prior to trying to launch a debug session through the BB simulator. This may be different than the issues others are having but thought I'd post in case it helps someone else.
