WebWork phone application signing issue

I did a search an couldn't find a solution.

I am trying to sign a WebWorks / HTML 5 phone application.  I got the csi files and was able to generate the csk and other signature files.  When I run either Ripple or bbwp from the command line, the popup window for requesting the signature shows "Not Registered" and then disappears.  I get a bunch of e-mails saying "Successful Code Signing Request for Client '".

I am sure I'm just missing some config step or general step, but I haven't found the documentation that would solve this issue.

Here is the outptu from the command line bbwp before it the popup signature screen:

[INFO]                  Parsing command line options
[INFO]                  Parsing bbwp.properties
[INFO]                  Validating application archive
[INFO]                  Parsing config.xml
[INFO]                  Populating application source
[INFO]                  Compiling BlackBerry WebWorks application
[INFO]                  Starting signing tool
[INFO]                  Signing complete
[INFO]                  Generating output files
[INFO]                  BlackBerry WebWorks application packaging complete

Thanks for the help.

Re: WebWork phone application signing issue

I guess nobody has any idea.

Is there some other information I can provide?

Re: WebWork phone application signing issue

The issue seems to be with the RIM Crypto API and RIM Runtime API.

And now it looks like I probably messed up my signing key trying to play around with it.

Re: WebWork phone application signing issue

Did you ever solve this LoganSix? I'm getting the same issue, and afterwards I get a file not found error for the jad file.

Re: WebWork phone application signing issue

No.  I stopped playing around with it and went back to upgrading the Java app.

Re: WebWork phone application signing issue

Ah well, thanks anyway - I'm trying to persuade my client to drop the platform but until that happens I'm stuck trying to figure it out unfortunately. Thanks for the response.

Just out of curiosity...
Did you register both csk files? Have you messed with your environment variables?

Re: WebWork phone application signing issue

Right now I think it's related to changing computers since I published the original app. I have all the keys, but I think I need Blackberry support to reinstate the RRT one before it will work. So I'm just waiting for a response from them. I've not changed environment variables, and not sure what you mean by csk files, unless you mean csi? In which case I've registered all 3, but the RRT is failing to register. Re-registering the other keys allowed me to create a signed build, but then it fails to run on the devices, saying that it is illegally requesting a secure api (and RRT is giving a 'not registered' error for the crypto api).

Thanks LobsterEater, if this sounds like I'm on the wrong track please let me know!!!

[ Edited ]

sorry i meant csj. maybe u can try to r-register by deleting the generated key files from the AppData\Local\Research In Motion directory. (Make sure you back it up first) FYI as far as I know Ripple has a signing function, but doesn't work. So the only way to sign a bar is through cmd prompt atm. Hope this helps
