Re: WebWorks Plug-in for Eclipse

Plugin for Eclipse no longer exists. Ripple/Text Editor/SDK is the officially supported dev stack now.

Re: WebWorks Plug-in for Eclipse

Thanks for the replay ... just so I understand.

U use a plain old text editor to hand code the source, saving the html files to a local server then point ripple to it to test?

I am from the .net world where we have an IDE, that drag and drop components into position ... you mean their is nothing like that for developing apps on the playbook?

if that is the case can you recommend an free editor that can used similar to an IDE? I have heard the programmer's note book can do some of this?

Thanks again,

Dave.

Re: WebWorks Plug-in for Eclipse

It seems the plugin is still available. Try pointing your installation to  http://www.blackberry.com/go/eclipseUpdate/3.6/web

Re: WebWorks Plug-in for Eclipse

Hey, yes you're correct about setting up a local web server and pointing Ripple to it. Then use whatever editor you want to edit the css, html and js files. I personally use Notepad++ for Windows.

Re: WebWorks Plug-in for Eclipse

What was the justification for abandoning the plugin and going with Ripple?
