WebWorks SDK Installer Not Identifying my JDK Installation

I'm trying to install the WebWorks SDK, but it cannot seem to find my Java Development Kit Installation. I have JDK 1.7 update 5 installed. All my other JDK dependent software run perfectly.

Please Help.

Re: WebWorks SDK Installer Not Identifying my JDK Installation

If you are running windows you could try the following:

1. Reinstall the JDK again.

2.  Try some of the options on http://javatester.org/version.html  Particlularly the Method 2 system tray icon.  For me if I right click the icon then choose "Open Control Panel".  Click on tab "Java" then the "View" button.  It should have the JDK location in there.  if not you could add manually but I'm not sure if thats wise - you should know what you're doing.  First option if JDK is not listed is reinstall.

3.  Add the JAVA_HOME variable to your PATH.  Try:

http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E19182-01/820-7851/inst_cli_jdk_javahome_t/index.html

Re: WebWorks SDK Installer Not Identifying my JDK Installation

I once had a similar issue.

I'd recommend un-installing JDK 1.7, and installing 1.6 -- make sure it's the 32bit version as well.

Re: WebWorks SDK Installer Not Identifying my JDK Installation

Agreed.  I don't think you can yet use 64bit versions with webworks.  Also I have 1.6 and its working fine.  Seems you may have to go back a version.
