What is the best way to run the application into the device?

I uploaded the .jad ant all the *.cod into my ftp server and downloaded the .jad by the browser in blackberry.

When i execute it, and install (with all permissions set to "permit"), i get the error: "Error starting IN9Midia: Module 'IN9Midia' attempts to access a secure API."

But, when i generated the app, i signed it with the provided blackberry certificates...

Otherthing is that the Desktop Manager v5.0 fails to install the application by his interface. It says: The application is not supported by the device.

My Device is a Blackberry Curve.

Waiting for answers...

Please see this post for the "attempts to access a secure API"

Using Destop Manager, you will need to load the *.alx file and associated *.cod files, not the *.jad file.  Can you confirm this is what you were trying?  Otherwise that error may suggest you are trying to load an application created with a newer version of the device software SDK onto an older device (e.g. a BlackBerry 6 app cannot be loaded on a 5.0 device - only forwards).

Your app doesn't work? Use BlackBerry remote web inspector to find out why.

Re: What is the best way to run the application into the device?

Hello astanley,

I tried with Desktop Manager, and it says it can't load into the phone because it's not campatible.
I would like to know why.
My Blackberry device is a Curve, OS v5.0.0.845 (Platform 6.3.0.34)
My Development Environment is:

BlackBerry WebWorks SDK Version: 1.5.1.201010291444-22
BlackBerry WebWorks Plug-in Version: 2.5.1.201010291444-2
And it works perfectly in the simulator: (Storm2 9550 v5.0.0.469)

I use the option "Build and Sign", it generates those files and i upload to my ftp and access the .JAD to install into phone. Allow everything in permission during install. After install, get that error.

And by the desktop manager (v5.0) it get that message, saying that isn't compatible.

Re: What is the best way to run the application into the device?

Hello there again,

I realized that i didn't imported the RTT key. I imported only the RBB key.

Now it's too late to import them, so, i requested new key's. This time, i'll import the 3 keys (RBB, RCR and RRT) and see if it will work.

I realized that when i saw the signtool saying: "not registred" for some *.cod.

Let's see what happens. I'll post here again when i have the result.
