What to expect from the geolocation API?

What would make us want to wait and use RIM's geolocation API versus what's already available right now from Google, Yahoo, etc.

I know the API is far from being ready, but some guidance would be appreciated.

Are you referring to this?? That was like 2 years ago...

Afaik in WebWorks apps you're supposed to use geolocation through the HTML5 API.

Thanks for your answer. I was referring to the Location Picker API, but phrased my question poorly.
I can't edit my original post (strange), but I've found the answer to my question.

It's very probable that RIM is going to port this to BB10. I was expecting a coordinate to location or woeid service, but this gives devs access to a central repository of location pickers (GPS, Maps, Contacts, etc.)

Something we know from tests is that  - try it...

Stick your device in a static position and watch it 'walk around'

Consumer GPS is inaccurate do you may find that you're moved a little bit between readings

You need to allow for this kinda thing
