does blackberry.launch API work in BB10.0.9 beta-4 ?

[ Edited ]

Hi all,

I want to invoke native Camera in my BB10 dev alpha device having OS upgraded to the latest 10.0.9-beta-4.

I've webworks OS 1.0.3.8, the latest release.

Making use of blackberry.launch API

example snippet and link: https://developer.blackberry.com/html5/documentation/blackberry_launch_launchcamera_972766_11.html

<html>
    <body>
        <div  id="camera" onClick="blackberry.launch.launchCamera()">Click here to start
                the camera application on your BlackBerry device!</div>
    </body>
</html>

I've included the webworks js..

 <script type="text/javascript" src="webworks-1.0.3.8.js"></script>

I'm getting exception : 'undefined' is not an object.

Can anyone please help?

Thanks.

you should use -

blackberry.invoke.card.invokeCamera

https://developer.blackberry.com/html5/apis/blackberry.invoke.card.html#.invokeCamera

Hi Nukul,

It helps. I've tried this. but I wanna make use of blackberry.launch API. The reason is It has provided many more things like invoking Map, location, SMS etc. Invoking all these fails in other ways..so wanted to give a try to blackberry.launch :smileyhappy:

blackberry.launch is not supported

you can use blackberry.invoke to invoke anything on device, maps or email or anything you want with many options.

https://developer.blackberry.com/html5/apis/blackberry.invoke.html#.invoke

Hi,

Following is what I've been trying for using email feature. but not working. " 'undefined' is not a constructor. "

var args = new blackberry.invoke.MessageArguments('foo@domain.com', 'hello', 'world');
args.view = blackberry.invoke.MessageArguments.VIEW_NEW; // New
blackberry.invoke.invoke(blackberry.invoke.APP_MESSAGES, args);

Same in case of invoking Maps..

var args = new blackberry.invoke.MapsArguments(43.26, -80.30);
blackberry.invoke.invoke(blackberry.invoke.APP_MAPS, args);

Want access to Messages and Call log as well. but couln't find anything useful.  || Getting access to Camera, card, Browser, Contacts & Calendar. Have already posted these queries  on this forum. Din't get any help

I made sure that I'm including required feature IDs in my config.xml
