Re: footer fixed on Bottom

As a hack ontouchstart, ontouchmove and ontouchend should work.

Re: footer fixed on Bottom

In sample code it was onScrollStart and onScrollEnd.

Is ontouchstart, ontouchmove and ontouchend are blackberry.ui.event Events methods.

Can you post some sample code how I use it.

I have to detect is it "onScrollStart and onScrollEnd" or "ontouchstart, ontouchmove and ontouchend"?

Re: footer fixed on Bottom

So the touch events are physical touches of the device, on the torch your going to have other problems because of the track pad, I don't know if it will work in hindsight.

Re: footer fixed on Bottom

I havn't tested on torch yet, Its also making very bad impact on Playbook Simulator, I have used onscroll events which are not working, so I use this:

        document.getElementById('mainContent').ontouchstart = function(e)
        {
                $('#nav').hide();
        };

        document.getElementById('mainContent').ontouchend   = function(e)
        {
                $('#nav').fadeIn(200);
                $('#nav').show();
        };

when I scroll with mouse scroll nav bar doesn't disappear on ontouchstart .

when I scroll by dragging mouse, It disappear but don't appear again after touchend, I have to click on screen to make it appear.

hyper Links are showing cursor pointers.

any way to get rid of these serious problems?

Re: footer fixed on Bottom

I think ontouchend is causing problem:

        document.getElementById('mainContent').ontouchend   = function(event)
        {
           $('#nav').fadeIn(200);
                $('#nav').show();
                alert('touch end');
        }

no alert popup is shown

Re: footer fixed on Bottom

I am having the same problem.  It looks like the scroll event is canceling the onTouchEnd event.
