history navigation (back/forward)

hi. i am developing a mobile website. it seems that, on the blackberry, the browser ignores different forms of the page prior to a postback. so for instance, i open page1, open page2, perform a postback on page2, hit the back (esc) key. i'm now on page1, instead of my initial version of page2 (as it acts in IE). is this by design? is there a way around this? i appreciate any advice...

btw, this is on a 8310 emulator and device.

Re: history navigation (back/forward)

Yes this is by design. The Browser History is simply a stack of the most recently visited URLs in the current session. It is not a cache of content. You should provide an additional link on your page 2 to post back to the previous state of the page.
