I download .gpx file from some webpage and i try select it in simple form in my app and send to my server for modification.

When i try select file in form there are ony posibilities: photos, videos, music, documents.

How can i get file from downloads folder ??

Hi zielaq,

Are you developing for the BlackBerry Smartphone or the Playbook?

Re: how to choose file from downloads

Hi zielaq,

Unfortunately in the current release of WebWorks for the playbook you cannot save/read files, only opening with a default app. However this support is coming in the upcoming Foxtrot Release.

However GPX files are just XML data, so you may be able to do what you want without any file manipulation at all. You can send XML data back and forth with simple AJAX calls.

Re: how to choose file from downloads

ok thanks for reply.

You're right with ajax call's but it's can be more usefull to work with downloaded files.

However i can do more rich app with interacting with coordinates directly from source (websites)

Re: how to choose file from downloads

What if you take the GPX file down as a string and parse the XML yourself?
