By "a request for a url" are you trying to perform an ajax call and it isn't working? Any domain/origin you are wishing to access must be white listed in an <access> element in your config.xml file. Details of this can be found in the WebWorks development guide

I Done Soap web service request using 1.URL 2.Username/Password 3.Requested XML. I Done this using j2me api's, blackberry api's & java api's for Blackberry Smartphones. But i don't know how to make Soap web service request [ URL, username/password, Requested XML ] using webworks api's & Ajax. Please help me to get sample code for making an Soap web service request using 1.URL, 2.username/password, 3.Requested XML by using webworks api's & Ajax.

Have you checked out the following thread?

http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Web-and-WebWorks-Development/How-quot-I-quot-would-call-a-web...

There are also lots of resources via Google search around the topic.  The search terms that I used to get a bunch of results were SOAP AJAX JavaScript

There shouldn't be anything WebWorks specific needed to accomplish your goal.
