I want develop an application for playbook to create backup of all the contacts,emails and calendar entries.

is there any api by using that api i can do that ?

Hi!

At the moment there is no API to access PIM(contacts, calendar, tasks) in the PlayBook, I guess it will only come with BB10 for the PlayBook.

Only when BB10 is available for the PB

You have to wait until BB10 is released for the PlayBook. Right now with the current PlayBook OS there is no such API.

Not before the BB10 phones are launched, so my guess would be February 2013...
