I am trying to develop application for BlackBerry10 using html5 <input type='date'> and notification.
When tested on ripple emulator, <input type='date'> rendered as datetimepicker.
But, it just a simple textbox when I tested it on blackberry 10 dev alpha (OS Version: 10.0.9.388).
I am using html5 notification, too. But, I can't see any notification in universal inbox.
How to show datetimepicker in BB10 device? and how to check if the notification is received successfully?

Thanks for your reply.
The red LED is not blinking. Is there any additional feature or permission required for HTML5 notifications?
I can see the push notification message when the app in the foreground, but when the app closed or running in the background, there are no notification, no icon splat, and the red LED is not blinking. About <input type='date'>, when I tap the element, it doesn't produce datepicker or keyboard.

For HTML5 notifications, you can find the required permissions and features here:
Specifically, we're looknig at the post_notification permission.
Regarding the push notifications, we hve a sample application posted here:
The first thing I would recommend checking is whether that application behaves the same as yours, or whether it can receive pushes while minimized / not running. This would help narrow down an application vs. device issue.
Finally, regarding <input type="date"> can you please create a small JSBin or JSFiddle sample that demonstrates the issue? As well, can you please confirm the OS version you are testing on and whether it is the simulator or a physical device?

Thanks for the link.
Regarding <input type='date'>, please take a look at http://jsbin.com/ijicud/3/edit
I am using bbui.js version 0.9.4 and zepto.js.
I am testing the app on physical device, OS Version: 10.0.9.388.

I am in the same situation.
I have a date input filed (datetime-local for my purpose) and when i tap on item nothing happens on BB10 device.
Instead on BB7 it works correctly.
Thanks in advance.

With the OS update last night, could you please upgrade to the latest OS and confirm if you are still seeing the issues there?

I have upgraded to the OS version 10.0.9.1103.
<input type='date'> rendered as textbox and it produces datetimepicker when I click on it.
Thank you very much, oros.

This works for me too.
I'm using datetime input field and when I click on it, the date time picker appears, as expected.
When I select a date/time, the value on the field is, for example, "2012-12-07T18:39Z".
How can I format the shown value on, for example to "07/12/2012 18:39"?
You can see this issue also on bbUI samples in the Input Controls screen.

I'm experiencing the same problem: cannot find a way to format the shown value of a datetime-local input field.
Has anyone found a solution to this issue?
