Re: loading effect in webview

We also support a splash screen to show prior to your content. You can look at this for more information:

Re: loading effect in webview

There is a shirt delay on load

You ideally want ...

1) Loading image / logo

2) Loading page - keep it light

3) Your App

(2) is th hard bit as you wanna keep the amount of data minimal

As such skip JQ etc, just use stuff you already have - direct DOM

I wanna get a project I'm finishing nice and smooth so when I do the code I'll post an example

I'm not sure you can introduce a delay, but here is what you need for the splash screen, for both orientations

<rim:splash src="resources/startup/768x1280.png"/>
<rim:splash src="resources/startup/1280x768.png"/>
<feature id="blackberry.app">
<param name="orientation" value="auto" />
</feature>

Regarding the loading phase of your app, I'd suggest sticking to CSS effects in your index.html. Remove the div when the app is ready.
