referencing external pages start app over

Is it normal for an external request to cause the webworks app to start over with the splashscreen pop and everything? And by external, I don't mean an ajax class to get an html fragment. I mean a regular old anchor to a page on a server. When I do this and then press the escape button, the app restarts, which causes me to lose all of my javascript variables.

Re: referencing external pages start app over

Yes, it is normal, because just like with a real browser, if you click on a link and then come back to the page, the page is usually reloaded. Some browsers will not reload the page and use the cache instead.

If you're expecting some variables from the website you've just visited (i.e. oAuth), just write something in your WebWorks app to catch them when it starts.
