Accepted Solution

webworks.analytics

Recently came across the Blackberry developer blog's post on their WebTrends analytics solution and how it got WebWorks support recently, so I thought I would try it out.

Ive grabbed the download from the WebWorks Community API and put it into my WebWorks SDK/ext folder under webworks.analytics. The problem is when I try to build the project in eclipse it spits out the error that it cant find that extension..?

Anyone experience this or know a solution?

Re: webworks.analytics

What does your webworks.analytics directory look like?

I've attached a screen capture of mine.

Otherwise, there might be a problem building the extension. Have you got the Java SDK setup? Any trouble with other extensions so far?

Re: webworks.analytics

Hey Tim,

My webworks.analytics folder looks identical to yours, as well, I also have the AnalyticsService_v1.0.jar file in there.

And within the nested webworks folder is the analytics folder with 2 *.java files inside.

Is this the correct setup?

No issues with any other extensions, I use the phonegap extensions I believe and then the basic ones that come with the SDK.

Re: webworks.analytics

The Jar should be in the webworks folder, not the root webworks.analytics folder.

Re: webworks.analytics

Which SDK are you using and how are you building your application?

Re: webworks.analytics

We're using the WebWorks SDK (v 2.3.0.9) with PhoneGap v1.3, and were compiling with Eclipse 3.6 using the BlackBerry eclipse plugin.

Re: webworks.analytics

I haven't tested this extension with the Eclipse plugin since we've deprecated it. Can you try compiling on the command line? You just need to zip your source and then call "bbwp app.zip"

If you pass in a -s flag as well, it will create a source directory which will show all the resources it's pulling together. That may help us find out what is happening with the extension.

Re: webworks.analytics

Awesome seems to compile properly, I figured that the Eclipse extension was just calling the same command from behind the scenes...

Now for this src folder is a mess of files and things I'm not too familiar with, is there anyone that explains what the bbwp outputs?

Re: webworks.analytics

You got a successful compile? Can you look in the source folder and see if the webworks.analytics folder is in the extension folder?

I think that the eclipse plugin might not be finding the extension properly.
