Hello all =)
My contract is up for renewal soon and I'm dead set on getting a Blackberry. I email a lot, use the internet on the go and like the idea of not having to buy a sat nav!!!
So basically, can anyone advise me on which would be the best one to get? I want one with an FM radio on but different guides contradict each other saying i.e. the 9000 Bold does have one and doesn't..? I'm leaning towards the Blackberry Bold or the Curve 8900..
Blackberry virgin wanting to pop the cherry lol.
Thanks =)

hi and welcome to the forums.
Thats a tough choice to make.
I would compare all the features side by side to help narrow it down and really think about it since you will have the device for a while.
Maybe even going to a store might help you decide, beware of sales people BS if you go.
Good luck on your choice.

Both 8900 and 9000 include GPS.

Techincally, neither device has "FM radio", but there are applications such as moodio.fm, flycast.fm and others which you can load to either the 8900 or the 9000.
So, the biggest difference in the 8900 and 9000 is
1. the size. (bold is larger in your hand)
2. the onboard application memory (the 8900 has more, and that is good).
3. the processor (the 9000 bold is slightly faster process, no big deal for most)
4. both have WiFi
5. and other slightly varying differences
Go to a store and hold and play with both and see which keyboard fits your hands better.

Thanks for the advice!
I've gone in store and had a look at the 9000 but it felt a bit chunky tbh so I'll defo look at the 8900 and see if that feels any better! Both are guaranteed to have better specs than my current phone, with the exception of the camera which I'm not overly bothered about so I win either way.. ![]()
Thanks again.

Hello all,
I have been using BB for last couple of years. I fell in love with it. I was using it while I was living in France. For now I am back to Uzbekistan (former USSR) where BB only works for voice calls and sms. I was told that there is no carrier providing BB internet service. I just wonder what is the difference between BB internet service and for example ordinary symbian, mac or Winmobile platforms. The latter ones do work here at EDGE/HSDPA networks, but BB does not. If anyone could explain me in details the difference I would do appreciate,
With all the best,
