Greetings to the Forum; first time on the steps

Looking forward to learning/using my new BB Tour (will never be able to replace my Palm Tungsten - particularly as more complex software is concerned, I fear).   Never had a BB before, so everything is new...  Love the connectivity power it provides, though.  Have more unanswered questions than I'd like, but grateful for the expertise here.

Re: Greetings to the Forum; first time on the steps

Hi! I am also coming from a Palm; a TX. I love my Tour. It is going to take a long time to get everything transfered from my TX to my Tour.

He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.

Re: Greetings to the Forum; first time on the steps

@spvwolfy - thansfer can be done using Outlook as the PIM in place of Palm Desktop. DM only serves as the software link for syncing between your Tour & Outlook. I can refer you to some info, but not at my pc right now. Hang on - don't do it manually. :smileyhappy:

Re: Greetings to the Forum; first time on the steps

Hi again spvwolfy

Here's a thread to help out:  http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Desktop-Software/Calendar/m-p/270821#M10326

Get all your info sync'd well with Outlook (check around in the apps to make sure the sync went well) then you should be ready to sync Outlook to your BB.   Configure Organizer Apps for BB sync

You'll need to check your Outlook version to make sure it is supported by your DM version:   Apps supported for DM sync

Let us know how it goes.  :smileyvery-happy:

Re: Greetings to the Forum; first time on the steps

Hi spvwolfy,

Welcome to BlackBerry support community forums.

By using BlackBerry Desktop Manager you can easily transfer your palm's PIM to your BlackBerry device.
