I am more than new to Blackberry but trying to learn. Plans where I live don't seem that advantageous so I am trying to learn about apps to make it more cost effective.

Thanks for writing. I have tried several things on the phone and my husband has a Torch 9810 OS 7. In his line of work he talks to people and texts. He needed an upgrade to his old phone so he bought the Torch. The people he talks to or texts to don't have BBs. He himself is trying to stay away from the data plans that lock you in. But that is another story. I would start a thread but really I could read more about possible option if I knew exactly where to look. He does not have a data plan or BB plan but does have access to Wi-Fi. Anyway, thanks for your time.

Hi again SirDale! I am catching back up with open threads of which I am a part. What issues or problems/questions do you have. Without a BB data plan your devices will lose much of their functionality. You are correct in that the search box is your best friend here.
