Hello,
New to the forums and to the whole smart phone thing as well. I don't own a Blackberry yet and that's why I'm here.I figured this would be the place to tell someone what I need and then y'all can point me in the right direction. I assume this is the right board so...
I'm work as a youth pastor and need something that can organize my names, addresses, phone numbers, email addys etc,
keep dates and meetings, and organize my lessons for teaching etc. Internet would be good also.
There's not much else I really need. Something simple, not a lot of bells and whistles. So what would be the right phone for me?
Thanks!

Hi and welcome to the BTSC forums. ![]()
A curve or pearl will do that, but once you get into one you might want more features, apps etc.
The newer devices can do more with their larger memory and newer OS. There are more features on the new devices that you really need to look at them and compare them to decide what model is best for you and in your price range.

Hello......New Blackberry Curve owner, here
My email is coming through "TOO" good. It is always there. How can I request it on demand instead of having it ready when I click on the icon. It seems like such a waste to have mail I've already dealt with at my workstation....thanks, ZZZ

That is awesome about your youth pastoring!! Nice to meet brothers and sisters in the Lord!
The type of phone will depend on your preference.... I would suggest going to your carrier and trying them out. The BlackBerry is an awesome smart phone . I have had a Curve and now a Storm, I love both! Storm being my favorite. (But that is a personal preference)

Hi and welcome to the forums! ![]()
A couple of places for you to visit: Blackberry 101 Tips & Tricks
I would echo all that knottyrope and cathlabnurse have already said. Best way is to go to the store and play with the various devices supported by different carriers. Ask questions, but be wary of the sales staff. They want to sell you a phone, but do research and try out the various devices. You'll surely find one that you like.
This webpage may help you to see the variety of BB phones available and the various carriers: Blackberry Smartphones
