Hi 

 

I am sabrinathan. New comer to BB world. Have used nokia business series - Communicator  etc all this while

 

Was not happy that they have turned to microsoft lumia

 

Bought a 9360 curve model to try out yesterday. Extremely happy with the OS and features.

 

Horribly disappointed with battery life.

 

Have been on the net searching for issues. Found that there are many who have the same issue.

 

Also read that there is a firmware update which can fix this.

 

The OS version on the box is 7.1.0 bundle 2039. Is there an update available? Can someone post a link and a how to or point me towards some FAQs ?

Regarding your issues query with device Software , If your Carrier have release any newer update then you can try updating your device software using BlackBerry Desktop Software , refer to this Knowledge Base :

 

KB03901 :How to update BlackBerry Device Software using BlackBerry Desktop Software for Windows.

 

You can also use any Carrier OS pack to update your device OS but those steps will be different. Regarding your issues with your battery life you can refer to this helpful Knowledge Base :

 

KB14320 How to maximize battery life and free memory on the BlackBerry smartphone

 

Please try those and see if it helps .
