JVM 104 error during enterprise activation

This article applies to the following:

  • BlackBerry® Enterprise Server
  • Synchronization SDK
  • BlackBerry Device Simulator



A JVM 104 error is thrown in the BlackBerry Device Simulator during enterprise activation, causing the activation process to fail.



This problem may occur when you reactivate a BlackBerry Device Simulator session that had already successfully activated.



To resolve this problem, complete the following steps:

  1. In BlackBerry Manager, remove the BlackBerry device user account.
  2. Clean the BlackBerry Device Simulator session by running the clean.bat file located in the BlackBerry Device Simulator directory or manually delete the .dmp files from that directory.
  3. In BlackBerry Manager, add the BlackBerry device user account that will be used by the BlackBerry Device Simulator.
  4. The enterprise activation process should now proceed with the new BlackBerry device user account.
