Re: Anyone NOT have their App approved?

If you submitted before the deadline you're fine, as long as it gets approved...

Re: Anyone NOT have their App approved?

If you submitted an app early to mid December and you have not heard back yet, I would contact them at appworldsupport@blackberry.com to see what might be up.  Please only contat them if it has been about 2 months pending.  That is how I found out about the problems with my app.  It took about a weeks to hear from them, but it did clear up why some more complex apps were being approved and my last 2 were not.  If you just submitted, please do not bother them.  Let's get those that have been waiting for 2 months to hear back.

When you contact them, provide:

  • Vendor Portal email address
  • Application Name(s)
  • Submission Date and current status
  • State that it is a PlayBook application

I am certain that they will contact everyone, but I think they are trying to make progress on the pipeline and reasons for rejection takes more time.

Remember, if you have submitted before March 15th, you're OK.  In my case, I just have to fix a couple of things and re-submit.

Re: Anyone NOT have their App approved?

If you're able to share what the problems were w/your app, it would be interesting to know, i.e. were they things that are already well described in the submission process that you forgot to cover, were they mistakes that were easy to make, were they things that aren't well described by RIM guidelines, or were they design issues or bugs w/your specific app?

Re: Anyone NOT have their App approved?

I mentioned the problems in this thread:

http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Tablet-OS-SDK-for-Adobe-AIR/Anyone-have-their-App-rejected/td...

Basically, I had BB/RIM/PB image content that they did not want the user to select from.  Not a big deal, just removed those images and added a few more.

The other dealt with an API change that occured from a 3rd party REST interface that occured between submission and testing (2 months will do that sometimes).  New version was uploaded during that time that corrected this, but they did not test the newer verson.

Will re-submit both this week after a few more tests.
