I really like your attention to detail, and the features you built like the editor, predefined images, etc, really show your understanding of how to make a simple app more feature-rich.
Can't wait to play with it and tell people to get out of my way!

What's the difference between Waiting on Test House and Pending Content Review?
03-11-2011 04:33 PM
If Pending Content Review is the state it goes into after you submit it, it's just some sort of preliminary step where someone, probably not the Test House people, reviews the overall details of the submission, your screenshots, description, answers to the various questions, and so on. If there are issues with it, they'll bounce it back to you.
If all looks good, it gets "approved" and moves on to Waiting on Test House.
Not that this "approval" is most definitely NOT the approval that you're really interested in, where the Test House says everything is good.
(And note, in case you weren't aware, that even that second approval is not the one you really need, to get the free playbook. That most important step is an "Eligibility" email, and it also does not involve the Test House. When you get it, first celebrate, then wait for a final email which will ask you for shipping details. Watch your spam folder for both of these ones.)

does that "eligibility" email starts with something like this:
"Success! You’ve completed the first step toward a free BlackBerry PlayBook tablet."
If so, I've got that one on 9th

@chall3ng3r, no, that's definitely not the "eligibility" email. See Mark's post for details, where the eligibility email is item 5 in his list.
If you haven't even seen Waiting on Test House, you're nowhere near it yet (except that some people are slipping through with only a day or so in that state now, while others of us have waited 18 days or even much longer, with no feedback).

Ahh... I see. Well I keep on working on my next one. Hopefully it'll get through soon
BTW, I have created a flickr group for sharing screenshots of PlayBook games and apps. You can see my application IdeaPad, and share yours as well.

yamalight, would you be willing to shed some light on your app?
- What is the name of your app? Have a link?
- Does your app use SWIPE_START or SWIPE_DOWN or neither?
- Does your app use SampleDataEvent to generate sound?
1. It's not in store yet, need to fix some stuff first.
2. Yes, it has used the default swipe_down gesture for menu bar
3. No, but it uses Sound class to play streamed music.
It's a simple app that aggregates content from Last.fm, Musicbrainz and Soundcloud and let's you listen for music from soundcloud artists.

I submitted my app on 18 Feb, it was placed on Test House on 20 Feb, it got approved on 8 March and I received Free Playbook offer email on 9 March.
Looking at people experiance, the app using basic features are most likely to get immediate aaprovals and hence unless we get and test apps on actual devices, I don't think developers will submit serious apps.
