Re: Anyone participating in this new PlayBook offer again?

Saw this offer and thought I would make a new app. Hoping this one will be as well received as my last one. Releasing to the public is quite nerve racking.

Does the offer apply to submitting a PlayBook release of an existing BB phone app?

If not I'll submit the PB version as a separate app; that might be better anyway b.c. it's different screenshots, but thought I'd check.

I believe PB only.

Funny, last years offer pushed me to develop 11 apps + received one award. W/O the offer there would be none.

6500 new developers -- that's good news for RIM, bad news for us.

The free PB offer was a good idea, though.  It gets peoples' feet wet and then you keep writing more apps.

how many of them will actually stay developing for the PB once they get their freebie? maybe RIM should start giving out BB10 IOUs now

Re: Anyone participating in this new PlayBook offer again?

They would have the data from the last offer. Number of new developers, number of apps per developer, number of new apps since offer, number of updates since offer. My guess is the numbers are pretty low.

Am guessing they're mostly current Android devs who have 100 thousand apps they'll be sending our way now, plus everything they do for Android in the future.
