BB10 QNXStageWebView drop down

I'm trying to use the QNXStageWebView control using the BB10 SDK 3.1.1 and I'm having an issue when clicking a drop down menu (HTML select tag). It does not work, when I click on the dropdown nothing happens. I should be able to select one of the available options

Here's a code snippet, as you can see it is very basic. Not sure if I should be adding something else.

    public class QNXStageWebViewExample extends View
        public var mainWebView:QNXStageWebView = new QNXStageWebView();

         * Default constructor. Bind initial events
        public function QNXStageWebViewExample()
            this.addEventListener(Event.ADDED_TO_STAGE, applicationAddedToStageHandler);

         * Application added to stage event handler.
         * Here we have a valid reference of the stage so we can create the
         * webview
        public function applicationAddedToStageHandler(event:Event):void
            // Add hidden stage view
            mainWebView.stage = this.stage;
            mainWebView.viewPort = new Rectangle(0, 0, stage.stageWidth, stage.stageHeight);

            // Load sample website

If you open the url on the BB10 browser, you should see that when you click on the dropdown it behaves as expected.

Also, this exact same code, using the Playbook SDK 2.0 worked fine on the Playbook (didn't work on BB10)

Any ideas what could be the issue and how to fix it?
