BB10 - Transparent TileList?

Hello,

I tried to use TileList for images positioning, but  can't make it to be transparen...

Meaning, I can add elements to a TileList, and show needed images in CellRenderer, but all images (transparent) are places on black opacue background...

Is there a way to set cell BG to be transparent?

Thanks

Re: BB10 - Transparent TileList?

Did you set the alpha of your TileList component itself to zero or some other low number?

Re: BB10 - Transparent TileList?

You may need to set skin for your custom cell renderer

See UI Skin examples to do so.

Re: BB10 - Transparent TileList?

I had a similar problem and is the skin of the cell renderer the responsible for painting that baground.

In the skin I did something like this. I leave the down and select skin for UI feedback purposes when selecting

		override protected function getSkinForState(param1:String):DisplayObject{
			var _loc_2:DisplayObject = null;
			switch(param1)
			{
				case SkinStates.DOWN:
				case SkinStates.SELECTED:
					_loc_2=super.getSkinForState(param1);
					break;
				default:
				{
					_loc_2=new Sprite();
					break;
				}
			}
			return _loc_2;
		}

Re: BB10 - Transparent TileList?

Thank you, this worked just fine.

Sad that in order to achieve such a simple task I need to create a bunch of classes.
