BB10 and Application permissions

[ Edited ]

Hi,

can you please confirm if in order to get audio from the mic on the BlackBerry Dev Alpha, it is a must to set up application permissions "record_audio"? I know this is on the documentation HTTPS://developer.blackberry.com/air/documentation/bb10/accessing_secure_apis_1524628_11.html

but I am wondering why I never had to use it for Playbook?

The point is apps tested on the BB10 simulator do work well capturing audio without the permissions settings but they were denied when try to publish for not capturing audio
