Command Line Death

I can neither install or remove any apps using the standard methods.

(I was able to install using a .zip file and html with a config.xml and bbwp like sketchpad but got the ERROR a network error has occurred on an app with no script.)

-package -install etc and -depoly -uninstall both look the same when I ctrl Break the .bat file

Maybe the last line holds a clue?? "No shared spaces configured."

Re: Command Line Death

i think you are working with the webworks SDK if im not mistaken. so this may / may not be the same approach. but since in the end you are using a bar file, its probably the same syntax.

you are missing a few arguments from your uninstall command like the -package argument. below is how you would uninstall an application:

blackberry-deploy -uninstallApp -package MyApplication.bar -device

and to install, its relatively the same way:

blackberry-deploy -installApp -package MyApplication.bar -device

hope that clears a few things up. good luck!

Re: Command Line Death

Don't forget you'll need to add the "-password xxx" argument.

Re: Command Line Death

No that didn't help, I was afraid it wouldnt because I copied all of my code, that doesnt work, right from the getting started area.

Oddly enough, the only code I can get to work, doesn't come from this site at all...

I can only get the HTML JS version to work. I can not get any of the suggested commands to work. Is there a way to package flash from a zip file? Like JS?

cd "c:\Users\My User Name\Desktop\translatorApp\"

blackberry-airpackager -packageApp TranslatorBB.bar -installApp -launchApp TranslatorBB.swf TranslatorBB-app.xml blackberry-tablet.xml icon.png -device -password MyPassword

Exit /b

//HTML JS PACKAGE AND DEPLOY Requires config.xml

cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\Research In Motion\BlackBerry WebWorks Packager for PlayBook\bbwp"

bbwp "c:\Users\My User Name\Desktop\translatorApp\TranslatorBB.zip"

cd blackberry-tablet-sdk\bin\

blackberry-deploy -password MyPassword -installApp -device -package "c:\users\My User Name\Desktop\translatorApp\bin\TranslatorBB.bar"

cd "c:\Users\My User Name\Desktop\translatorApp\"

blackberry-deploy -uninstallApp TranslatorBB.bar -device

exit /b

//Failed suggestions
cd "c:\Users\My User Name\Desktop\translatorApp\"

blackberry-airpackager -packageApp TranslatorBB.bar -C c:\Users\My User Name\Desktop\translatorApp\ -installApp -launchApp TranslatorBB.swf TranslatorBB-app.xml blackberry-tablet.xml icon.png -device -password MyPassword
blackberry-deploy -installApp -package helloWorld.bar -device -password MyPassword
blackberry-deploy -uninstallApp -package TranslatorBB.bar -device
