Heads up: Flash C/C++ compiler in beta

[ Edited ]

The Flash C++ compiler (Flascc) is now in public beta!

It allows you to compile existing C/C++ code to Flash bytecode. Of course we can already run C/C++ code via native extensions, but this is an interesting extra option. The automatic interface generator from AS3 to C++ (called "SWIG") looks good too.

I haven't yet tried this on PlayBook or BB10, though I see no reason why it shouldn't work as our Flash runtime meets the minimum requirements.
