You will need to keep track of the power level over a period of time and then extrapolate that to a projected time. It may not be linear since other apps will change the rate of charge, but if you keep a running trend, it should be OK.

I am confusd with showing standy by time..??

Does these apps which shows battery stand by time calculate  stand by time at the time of install itself of after some time..?? As u said it would take some time to see what's all eating up battery.. So i need to know if these apps shows time after some time say one hour or it shows right after installing them

I dont know what you mean by "stand by time".
If it takes 5 minutes for the battery level to go from 80.1 to 80.5, then it will take 243.75 minutes to get to 100%. But I've seen the last couple of percent take longer, so you need to do a running average and not look at just one point of time.
